The Apex Basketball Trainer was created in 2017 by Scot Alexander and patented by the US September 11, 2019.  The intent of making the belt was to create a product that could help enhance players skill ability, building muscle memory, strengthens core, hand-eye coordination and endurance. This product was first sold in Houston, Texas in October 2019. Apex is sold and distributed through Alexvision, LLC established April 17, 2018.
